Women’s Personal Safety Training
The objective of this course is to empower employees (women) to identify a potential threatening situation and then take proactive action to avoid and / or reduce any potential for that situation to cause them harm. Participants take part in a hands-on practice session and receive instruction on the proper use of the ‘Persuader” keychain baton. This course is appropriate to assist with issues pertaining to Workplace Safety.

Gary has 30 years of policing experience with the Ottawa Police Service. The last nine years of his tenure were devoted exclusively to his role as the senior Defensive Tactics Instructor. Gary has designed a variety of lesson plans and has delivered defensive tactics instruction to police officers and private security personnel. Gary was also a consultant for the design and implementation of the Temporary Restraint Device (TRD), which is used to control violent prisoners.
Gary has an impressive list of training credentials which include certification as a Use of Force, Defensive Tactics and Firearms Instructor from the Ontario Police College.
